The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) issued Circular No. IBBI/LIQ/74/2024 on 28.06.2024, directing liquidators to submit forms related to voluntary liquidation under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, by 30.09.2024. However, the IBBI has received several representations from liquidators and Insolvency Professional Agencies (IPAs) requesting an extension, citing technical difficulties and challenges in filing the required forms.
Considering these representations and the issues faced by stakeholders, the IBBI has decided to extend the deadline for filing the forms to 30.11.2024. This extension aims to provide relief to liquidators and ensure smooth compliance with procedural requirements.
The circular has been issued under the powers conferred by Section 196(1) of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
